Audemars Piguet Ellipse Jumbo 18k 1970s
Here we have one of the rarest and the most interesting pieces from Audemars Piguet we have ever seen.
The 18k yellow gold case measuring 31 mm in diameter is in sharp condition and refined with a very unique 18k yellow gold beautifully finished bracelet. The icing on the cake is the rare deep black dial.
Inside we find the ultra-thin Cal 2121 that AP first developed in conjunction with case maker LeCoultre in 1967 and used for many years in their ultra-thin dress watches from 1970 to 2011. Thinnest selfwinding calibre with central rotor and date indication of its time (3.05 mm). Because of its thinness the rotor makes some sound when spinning.
