Piaget 18k Rectangular Tigers Eye 1970s
Launched in 1957, the 9P caliber was groundbreaking for 2 reasons: standing at 2mm, it was the thinnest manual-wound movement ever made for wristwatches, and its 20.5mm diameter was much larger than the standard, therefore allowing for larger cases.
Its slimness was not only a technical accomplishment, it also allowed the manufacture to fit dials made of hard stones while retaining a thin profile like this flawless 18k Piaget with a beautiful tiger stone dial.
The bezel is made from tigers eye stone too and has some cracks.
