Rolex Datejust Oysterquartz Two Tone 1979
When the Rolex Oysterquartz Datejust was introduced in 1977, the 5035 movements were not sent to the COSC, so the Oysterquartz Datejust manufactured during the years 77-79 don’t wear the text Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified.
For example, our Two Tone piece only has three lines and is called a Mark 1 Dial or a three liner. They are rarer, and it’s near impossible to find them in near untouched condition like our example.
